Dan's 1972 Crew-Cab (s)...

Here are some shots of the Purple & White truck that took second place at the 1999 Tulare IHC show, as well as the matching Red & White truck. Both trucks were driven to the 1999 show along with the matching trailer in tow!

NOTE: There are a LOT of pictures, this page is slow to load...

UPDATE November 2nd, 2002

The famous "Crew-Cab set" has been SOLD today ...!!!

The proud new owner of the "set" is "Keith M." from San Clemente, CA.

Please drive careful & be safe on your long trip back home (that goes for you too Michael K.)

Thank you Keith, and please take care of my trucks for me ~ Dan

For those of you who are coming from the www.BinderBulletin.org site, here is some additional information and photos on the "set of trucks" that I am selling.

The purple & white truck took 2nd place at the Tulare event in 1999. Both trucks have 392 motors, and both feature very clean dual exhaust systems! The purple & white truck is 4X4 with a 727 automatic behind it. Near new cooper tires, powder coated wheels, rebuilt tranny in 1999 (just before the Tulare trip, and probably only about 20,000 miles since), transfer case also rebuilt at that time. The truck was also painted in preparation for the 99 Tulare IHC show. Front brakes where done in November 2001 (the drums are in excellent condition).

The red & white truck has a very rare 5 speed overdrive tranny. The tranny was rebuilt along with a new clutch at the end of 2001. Near new cooper tires. The custom canopy on this truck cost me over 800.00 a few years ago, and it will fold down and out of the way.

Both these vehicles have had EXTENSIVE work done to them, and much of it in recent years.

Both trucks (and the matching trailer) have all had a "Rhino Lining" bed-liner spray done to the beds at a cost of $500.00 per truck bed! Once again this was done in preparation for the 1999 IHC show in Tulare California.

I am NOT a "super-motivated" seller, however I do have too many projects...

These trucks were previously listed a couple of months back, and after having the trucks listed on this site for less than a week, and receiving calls from literally all over the country, I realized that I was asking too little for them previously...

Also included are a TON of spare parts (e.g. tranny, transfer case, drive-shafts, PS pumps, fuel pumps, alternators, brackets, etc. etc. etc.)

I would consider a PARTIAL trade for a Scout II. I would be using the Scout II for rock climbing, and in addition to that I would be looking for a set of 3/4 ton "8-lug" axles to go under it (preferably off a Chevy truck as I am looking for disk brakes up front). If you have a project Scout II or something that you feel might be of interest feel free to call me.

Please be advised that I am interested in getting some good $$ for my crew cabs, and a "trade" is not going to be of much interest to me unless you are willing to part with a goodly amount of cash... I am not looking for a "super built scout" I am sure they are out there, but if I am going to sell my set of trucks, trailer, and pile of spare parts, you will need to bring some cash to the table. Please forgive me if I sound conceited, I just do not want to waste your time (or mine).

Thank you for looking !

That's it for the Purple & white truck...

Here are some shots of the Red & White crew-cab

In 2001 I returned to the Tulare show, however this time with just the Red & White truck, however I had cleaned up the engine compartment (the valve covers, oil-valley cover & a bunch of other parts were "nickel plated" in alternating colors of gold & silver). It really dressed up the engine, and requires no maintenance.

OK, that's it for the Red & White truck..

Matching Trailer

Here are some shots of the matching trailer. Sorry for the poor quality of these shots, but I did not have time to pull it out of the garage & take out all the "junk" that is stored it it... It has also had the "Rhino-Lining" treatment done to it!

OK... If you are interested in making an offer, please contact me:

@ webmandan@usa.net or you can call me @ 503-538-5922

Oh... A quick update... Please take a look at this site here: http://arapaho.nsuok.edu/~kappa_sigma/ih/home.htm and compare the prices of the crew-cabs and trucks he is offering, to what I am asking for mine...

Please keep in mind that I am selling these trucks & trailer as a "set" and not separately.

Thank you !

Dan
