Dan's
1969 Scout 800 A
The truck has a "custom" made canopy.
Custom rear bumper.
Another close-up of the canopy.
Here is a shot of the front bumper.
Here is a shot of the front of the truck.
The dash is in great shape (the actual "molded" portion of the dash is in the garage).
Another shot of the truck from the rear.
Here is some general background & history on this Scout:
I have personally owned this Scout since I was 18 years old, I am 37 now.
My parents bought it for me when I moved to Oregon, I have driven the truck back & forth to Southern California twice, it has been garaged for probably about 10 years of its life with me.
The truck has had MANY "major" improvements / repairs / upgrades, I will list them below (In no particular order);
1) Leaf springs "re-arched" about two years ago.
2) Front axle completely re-built (the knuckle assemblies, etc.)
3) front steering components all recently replaced.
4) Front windshield and seal replaced about 6 months ago.
5) There is a "rear bench" seat that is not presently installed that is a hard to find factory item available, that I have.
6) I also have a rear mounted spare-tire (that swings out) that is another hard to find "factory item"
7) Carburetor was professionally rebuilt about a year ago.
8) Tires are in great shape (80 % of thread left).
9) Drive shafts are in great shape (the front one being professionally rebuilt about two years ago, and the truck has net seen more than a 1000 miles since that time).
10) Brakes on all four corners re-built a couple of years ago, a new master cylinder about two years ago also (not more than a thousand or so miles put on them since...)
11) During the 19 years I have owned this truck, I don't think it has had more than about 10,000 miles put on it...
12) AM / FM Cassette player (generic, nothing special).
13) New battery (less than 6 months ago).
14) The motor is a 304 cu. in. it has a "cool" oil-bath air filter (another hard to find rare factory item), it has a two barrel carb, with a custom dual exhaust (exhaust system is in great shape too!).
15) A built in "heating" system to keep the block from freezing is also built in (it appears to be "factory" also), this would plug into a 110 volt outlet to keep the block from freezing in extreme weather conditions.
The only reason I am "considering" selling this truck is that I simply have TOO many projects...
(I say "consider" because I am not "sure" I want to...),
